in 2007, Dr. Filardo was appointed to the faculty of UCF’s College of Medicine as an Instructor of Medical Education. Due to all of your support, Dr. Filardo was recently re-appointed this position in December 2014 until 2017. Thank you for all your support.

Dr. Filardo’s original sports training and background led him to graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology, and from National University in Chicago as a DC, Doctor in Chiropractic Medicine, and a second Bachelor of Science in Biology. He has completed a two-year advanced practice post-doctorate training, sponsored by National University, in preventative/anti-aging/functional medicine, pharmacotherapy, an intense understanding of pharmacology and an additional year in advanced anti-aging and immunological nutraceuticals.

He works with a team of licensed physicians and professionals in performing Non-Invasive Anti-Aging/Functional Medicine; with various Laser services and Injectables, Laser Hair Removal, Fractional Laser, IPL, Velashape/Cellulite Reduction, Vibration therapy, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Weight Loss Programs, Medical Acupuncture, Acupuncture Facelifts, and cutting edge Lab-Work with Nutritional & Stress Counseling for 16 years. Dr. Filardo was a former tri-athlete for 8 years.

Dr. Filardo has completed the 260 hour Facial Specialist requirements with honors and is licensed and trained in the state of Florida for medical facial and body aesthetics. He has also completed the 320 hour requirements for the Electrolysis program with honors, in addition to the 30 hour Laser electrology program. Dr. Filardo is a Certified Laser Hair Removal Professional (CLHRP). The CLHRP program, within the same certifying board, is the Physician version of the CME program. He has a certificate of attendance for the official training with the Palomar Icon Aesthetic Laser and has participated in the Palomar Pulsed light and Laser systems consisting of didactic and hands-on instruction. He also has the certificate of attendance for the official training with the Focus Medical Group for Laser Tattoo Removal and has participated in the QS systems consisting of didactic and hands-on instruction. Dr. Filardo has also completed an additional 15-hour laser training program through Erchonia laser systems and over 10 years of experience with various aesthetic lasers for medical conditions. Also, He has over 14 years of hands-on instruction with multiple patient laser treatments, having the unique opportunity of working under several top plastic surgeons and medical doctors in the country. Dr. Filardo in 2016, has received his training in Microneedling with and without RF, by the Saratoga Aesthetic Institute. Our office is also utilizing the gold standard in PRP, the Harvest method.
