IPL
WHAT IS IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)?
PL stands for “Intense Pulsed Light.” What is different about the IPL Max G is that it uses varying bands of laser light for more uniform heating of the area to be treated, and can treat larger blood vessels effectively. It concentrates beams of energy on the area to address problems including:
- Sun damaged skin
- Hyperpigmentation
- Sun spots
- Freckles
- Red skin
- Mild skin texture problems
- Brown spots
- Red spots
- Rosacea
IMPROVEMENTS IN FACIAL SKIN TONE AND TEXTURE WITH NO DOWNTIME
For people who want to improve the appearance of facial skin texture, improve fine lines, and treat issues like visible veins and age spots, a series of IPL Max G laser treatments could be the right treatment. You are an individual, and only a careful evaluation of the cosmetic problems you want to solve will give us the answer – but for many clients, a series of 4 to 6 treatments will produce dramatic results.
The advantage of the treatment is that it involves little to no downtime, with only mild discomfort, if any. Some redness and warmth can be seen and felt in the treated area, and is normal, typically fading within a few hours. Most patients return to work or their regular activities the same day, or the next, depending upon the level of treatment and natural body response.
HOW AN IPL MAX G TREATMENT FEELS
The process is fast and simple. Light pulses are applied to your skin in several passes.
Our clients report that the sensation feels like a mild “snapping,” like a rubber band against the skin. Most people find the treatment easy to tolerate, but if you have a
low pain threshold, we can do more for you. You will wear special goggles to protect your eyes from the light pulses produced by the system. Each session takes only about 20 to 30 minutes to perform.
